Music Store Owners (MSO) is a collective of independent music store owners looking to band together to form a positive link between the music store owner, the manufacturer and the public. MSO wishes to work with other Music Industry (MI) professionals to bring public awareness to our industry and our businesses. The independent music store owner has always been the backbone of our industry. We’re the stores where people learn, not just how to play, but about the instruments themselves. We’re the stores who service the products. We’re the stores that built the top brands of today and will continue to do so in the future.

As a MSO Approved Brand you’ll not only be exposing your products to the public at large through service oriented dealers but to other like minded dealers. As it becomes tougher to compete against the major chains both as a store and as a manufacturer MSO offers a way to join forces for the betterment of MI and our businesses.

MSO is looking to reposition the independent dealer in the public’s eyes through education, exciting new products and better service. We want to become the ‘go to’ place for new products, excellent service, lessons, repairs and knowledge. Musical instruments are different from many other products in that they invoke emotion, require service and education for best use and are best seen in person. And we do it each in our own unique way far removed from the cookie cutter approach so prevalent today. The local, independent music store has always provided this, we just need dedicated partners. We’re looking to make ‘stars’ of our brands, like we’ve done in the past.
